*** President Scott thanked everyone who pitched in on the project at the YMCA with a special nod to Tom Welsh, Nancy Dedenbach and Ed Mastry. Valerie Miller noted that the project was funded by two grants written by President Scott and totaled $12,500. Clearly the year is off to a great start!

*** Everyone was encouraged to “save the date” for the Dick Pierson Rotary Golf Classic on September 15. Eric Pierson will be providing more details shortly.

*** President Scott thanked Ted DeVantier for the Macomb Rotary Foundation’s approval of a grant for Clinton Township’s inclusive playground.

*** Everyone is invited to a Rotary Park Celebration on Wednesday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event cost is $20. RSVP Sam Wireman at drsam@apexchiromi.com or purchase tickets online at:  http://legacy.cmpl.org/larry/rotary/.

*** Last but not least, Christine LaTour is looking for more hands-on projects for the club for the year ahead. We already have a sufficient number of volunteers to help with Forgotten Harvest on July 23. More ideas are welcomed!
